What to pack is important because weather in Blacksburg can be a little unpredictable! Here is the ten-day forecast. Do I have to participate in the physical fitness training? You do not have to participate in the physical fitness training the morning of Day 2, but you are required to attend. On Day 2, you will attend our Citizen-Leader Track physical fitness training at 5:30am, return to shower and dress, attend morning formation, breakfast with your host, and check out no later than 8:30am. We try to match your host based on your Military-/Citizen-Leader Track interest. You will connect with your host and shadow him or her for the rest of the day. Then, your family will be free to depart. You and your family will have an opportunity to attend a Corps information session, a cadet panel, and a session ROTC/Citizen-Leader Track of your choice. You and your family will check-in and you will take your gear to your host's room. What would a typical schedule look like? You arrive on Day 1 for check-in at 1pm. You must provide your own transportation to and from campus. If you are a freshman or a sophomore, we would love to have you attend one of our information sessions on campus. Is there a minimum age to attend the Spend the Night program? You must be at least a high school junior to attend our overnight program. Don't forget to bring your sleeping bag!
